Signatures at Benoit: Four wine appellations to discover

At Benoit, Signatures Pays Tribute to Winemakers

Since 1912, Benoit has embodied a distinctive vision of the Parisian bistro. Taken over by Alain Ducasse in 2005, our restaurant continues to celebrate traditional French cuisine, a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and a passion for exceptional ingredients.

Wine naturally plays an important role, with a wine list showcasing the diversity of French terroirs and the expertise of winemakers. The Signatures initiative follows in this tradition: from September to December 2026, four wine appellations take centre stage, one each month, through a selection curated by Bernard Neveu, Corporate Head Sommelier of Maison Ducasse Paris. This selection complements Benoit’s wine list and offers several ways to explore these appellations at your own pace: by the glass, carafe, bottle or tasting flight.

September: Three Expressions of Sancerre

The first stage of this four-part journey takes us to the Sancerre region. Three wines, three estates and three terroirs offer different perspectives on the appellation: Pascal Jolivet’s Clos du Roy 2025, Vincent Pinard’s Charlouise 2023 and Henri Bourgeois’ La Côte des Monts Damnés 2022. This selection provides an opportunity to discover three distinct terroirs: Bué, Chavignol and Crézancy-en-Sancerre. The wines can be enjoyed individually or together in a tasting flight of three 8 cl pours. An invitation to take the time to compare their styles and appreciate the subtle differences between each cuvée.

October: Saint-Émilion and Château Angelus

In October, the journey continues to Saint-Émilion. This month’s selection highlights Château Angelus through three wines: N°3 d’Angelus 2023, Carillon d’Angelus 2018 and Château Angelus 2017. Three cuvées offering a unique opportunity to explore how a single estate expresses its identity through different wines. Each has its own distinctive character, making the comparison particularly rewarding. N°3 d’Angelus, Carillon d’Angelus and Château Angelus are available by the glass, carafe or bottle, with the option of enjoying all three together in a tasting flight.

November: Exploring the Diversity of Châteauneuf-du-Pape

In November, Signatures heads to the Rhône Valley, and more specifically to Châteauneuf-du-Pape, an appellation renowned for the diversity of its terroirs. Limestone, sandy soils and the region’s famous rounded pebbles all contribute to the richness and variety of its wines. At Benoit, guests can discover three Châteauneuf-du-Pape wines: Domaine de Cristia’s Classique 2022, Julien Masquin’s L’Intimiste 2023 and Château de Beaucastel 2022. This carefully curated selection reveals different expressions of the same appellation. The tasting flight of three 8 cl pours offers the opportunity to taste the wines side by side, compare their characteristics and return to each at leisure. An experience entirely devoted to discovery and appreciation.

December: Three Wines from the Côte de Beaune

To conclude this series of tastings, Benoit invites guests to explore the Côte de Beaune through one red and two white wines: Antonin Guyon’s Savigny-lès-Beaune Les Goudelettes 2022, Joseph Pascal’s Puligny-Montrachet 2023 and Louis Latour’s Corton-Charlemagne 2019. This final chapter highlights the climats of this prestigious wine region, inviting guests to discover the distinctive aromas and flavours of each cuvée. The three wines are available by the glass, carafe or bottle. The tasting flight of three 8 cl pours brings them together, offering an opportunity to appreciate their individual characteristics.

The Signatures Experience at Benoit

At Benoit, Signatures is designed to be enjoyed with simplicity, according to each guest’s preferences. The selected wines are available by the 12 cl glass, 45 cl carafe or 75 cl bottle. The discovery flight brings together the three wines of the month, with an 8 cl pour of each. Signatures is a natural extension of the wine list and the identity of our historic Parisian bistro. The experience can complement a meal or a special occasion, including a private event at the restaurant. It offers another way to discover Benoit, where bistro tradition, French cuisine and a passion for wine come together.
